Technical requirements for die steel

1. The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of steel should meet the requirements of GB222-84. The smelting method of electric furnace + vacuum refining or vacuum refining + electroslag remelting shall be specified in the contract.

2. The die steel adopts the GB/T6402-1991 standard for ultrasonic flaw detection, and the result shall not have dense defects larger than the equivalent diameter of Ø2mm. A single scattered metallurgical defect is allowed, of which no more than 3 of the equivalent diameter of Ø2-3mm, and only one of the equivalent diameter of Ø3-4 are allowed.
