Quality has been the core value behind everything we do and therefore from manufacturing stage, we follow this principle to the letter. The quality assurance department, a fully-featured laboratory which is also a Level II Laboratory, carries out quality control in the form of physical tests. As a result of chemical analyses carried out, the mechanical properties are tested to the highest precision level while the hardness measurements are also carried out in a very accurate way all leading to products that not only meet but exceed their customers' expectations in terms of performance, stability and durability, etc. This quality is backed by the fact that each ring that comes out of our factory meets or exceeds the standards set up by the industry through the use of strict quality controls.

About Us
In addition, Henan Zhongyuan Heavy Forging Co., Ltd. (HHF) has built an in-depth understanding and rich experience of nearly twenty years in the field of heavy-duty forging by accumulating technical know-how since it was founded in 2006.
The factory's floor space totals about 150 mu (equal to about 100,000 square meters). Besides three extensive open-die forging production lines with 10,000-ton hydraulic presses as core equipment, two state-of-the-art die forging production lines also work, and they are accompanied by large-capacity CNC machining centres, the necessary heat treatment lines, and the top-ranking national class II laboratory. The annual production capacity is up to 50,000 tons of large open-die and dies forgings (including pieces that single weights are over 30 tons).
Approximately 500 people work for the company at the moment, among them, at least 50 people are the R&D team that concentrates on new technologies, materials, and new processes development. The R&D team is composed of senior engineers and technologists.
Among the quality management system supports are numerous certifications, including the American API Q1 standard, API 7-1 licensing for drill stabilizers and drill collars, CSSC system approval, and international recognition for example ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 29001.
For years, the company has been supplying forged parts as the primary material to big companies at home as well as internationally. Different industries such as energy (wind, hydro, and thermal power), mining machines, shipbuilding, and heavy equipment are the company’s customers. Some big Chinese companies like CITIC Heavy Industries, China First Heavy Industries, Taiyuan Heavy Industry, Goldwind, and Envision Energy are the customers, and there are also clients overseas, like Joy Global, Komatsu, and Caterpillar.
Company exportation of these products continues and it goes beyond 20 countries and regions. The major buyers are Germany, the USA, Australia, India, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea, and Japan.
HHF takes it as its mission to promote the image of Chinese manufacturing, and always follows the quality policy of "strive for perfection, manufacture high-quality machinery, pursue excellence, and create a first-class brand", so that the company's product quality is steadily improved. The main products have become well-known brands of oil drilling tools and large precision forgings.
According to the physical and chemical laboratory construction of National Grade 2 standards, can meet the tensile test, minus 80 degrees Celsius temperature impact, chemical composition analysis, metallographic analysis, non-metallic inclusion analysis, gas content analysis, grain size analysis and nagnetic induction intensity,no magnet magnetic induction gradient and intergranular corrosion test.
Adherence to National Grade 2 Standards is a declaration of our technical seriousness. It means that the environment controls in our laboratory (e.g., temperature, humidity, cleanliness, etc.), maintenance equipment calibration, technicians' training & certification, testing procedures and data recording/reporting all work under a nationally accepted and auditable system. These standards enable all the test results to be highly accurate, reliable and traceability.
The availability of quality assurance as a core facility will lead to several benefits for our international clients: quicker approval times for quality certifications, complete clarity about material characteristics, problemsolving that involves teamwork, but is based on facts, and complete reassurance, which is achieved when clients know that their components have been validated not only by their own laboratories or the ones that are certified at that level, but also one whose standards the laboratory has not only adopted, but also reached the same level as theirs. It is precisely this unwavering dedication to quality that makes us feel confident enough to assure that our quality promise will be kept without fail, not only for the performance of the products, but also in the trust the clients place in us.

Custom Forged Alloy Steel and Carbon Steel Ring Manufacturer | 826M40 Ring Forging Supplier | HHF
HHF manufactures custom forged alloy steel and carbon steel rings, from 826M40 to various carbon steel grades, backed by a 10,000-ton hydraulic press, three open-die forging lines, and a National Class II laboratory. We serve heavy industries including energy, mining, and shipbuilding with verifiable ring forgings.
Why Ring Forgings Fail in Critical Equipment, and How HHF Responds
A ring forging rarely fails with warning. It can happen on a wind turbine yaw bearing, in a mining machine drivetrain, or at a connection point in a ship propulsion system. Once the problem shows up, downtime and replacement costs add up fast. We have reviewed enough of these cases with customers to know the root cause is seldom the design itself. More often it comes down to what is happening inside the material—insufficient hardenability, low core impact toughness, or hardness that drops off too quickly below the surface.
That is where HHF puts its focus. We supply 826M40 alloy steel rings and take on carbon steel ring forgings as well. The 826M40 grade is a 2.5% nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel with high hardenability, which means it can achieve uniform mechanical properties even at larger section sizes. We control the process from the forging stage: rings are formed on our 10,000-ton hydraulic press so the internal structure is properly consolidated, rather than relying on low-ratio alternatives.
The performance data is not a paper exercise. After quenching and tempering, 826M40 can reach a tensile strength range of 925 to 1550 MPa, depending on section size and tempering conditions. Surface hardness is controlled at 300-325 HBW, with impact energy of no less than 54J. Every batch of rings goes through our National Class II laboratory. We hold API Q1, API 7-1, CSSC, ISO 9001:2008, and ISO/TS29001 certifications, and our products have been exported to more than 20 countries. If you want to verify our capability, request sample inspection reports or come see the lab yourself.

Product Advantages of HHF Ring Forgings
A few points are worth spelling out. First, 826M40 steel is forged on our 10,000-ton hydraulic press. The high forging ratio helps refine grain structure and close internal porosity, which a casting or a low-ratio forging cannot match. Second, heat treatment is not a one-size-fits-all cycle. The quenching and tempering schedule is adjusted according to the actual section thickness of each ring, so hardness and toughness stay consistent from surface to core instead of meeting spec on the outside and falling short in the middle. Third, all physical and chemical testing happens in-house—chemical composition, mechanical properties, hardness, and impact energy are measured before anything leaves the factory. Many suppliers have to outsource this testing, and by the time results come back, production has already been locked in. Fourth, forging, heat treatment, and machining are all done under one roof. When something needs to be corrected, there is no finger-pointing between vendors. One party is accountable.

Custom Ring Forging Solutions
Ring requirements vary widely. Some go into wind turbine yaw bearings and need fatigue performance. Some go into mining equipment and need wear resistance and impact toughness. Some go into marine applications and need corrosion resistance and structural stability. Our engineering team works with you to review material selection, dimensional specifications, and performance requirements, then builds a solution around the actual operating conditions rather than picking something close from a catalog. Different grades, different section sizes, different heat treatment conditions—all workable. On the documentation side, we provide the inspection reports and material certificates your engineering team needs for approval.

Quality Control You Can Verify
Quality is not a slogan here. Our National Class II laboratory is not a support unit tucked behind production—it sits directly inside our R&D and quality judgment work. Every batch of rings goes through chemical composition, mechanical property, hardness, and impact energy checks before it ships. From an ordinary drill collar to a turbine shaft, the same standard applies. Meeting international standards is the floor. Meeting customer specifications is the target. If there is a deviation, we explain it before shipping, not after the customer finds it.
Warranty and After-Sales Service
Every HHF ring forging carries a one-year warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects in material, forging, and heat treatment. If a confirmed quality issue arises during the warranty period, we arrange repair, replacement, or credit according to the contract terms. Technical questions get answered within one working day. For overseas customers who want a third party like SGS or BV involved, we can coordinate a joint inspection. Production and inspection records are kept for every order, so a repeat order or spare part can be matched to the original specification without redrawing anything.
Logistics and Delivery
Ring forgings are heavy and oversized, and transport without planning tends to go wrong. We use seaworthy packing with anti-rust treatment on machined surfaces. For large rings, lifting points and securing arrangements are confirmed with the forwarder in advance. We ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Tianjin under FOB, CIF, or DAP terms. Packing photos, measurement records, and the inspection certificate go out with the goods, so customs clearance does not turn into a separate project.
Payment Terms
Standard terms are 30% down payment to start production, 70% before delivery. Long-term customers and repeat orders can discuss sight L/C or partial payment against shipping documents. T/T and L/C are both accepted. Terms are confirmed in the proforma invoice before production begins.
